Cosito was built because enterprise software was never designed for frontline workers — the people actually running production lines, catching defects, and logging shifts still rely on paper and memory.

Why We Built Cosito: Our Founding Story

The journey from observing inefficient factory workflows to creating a voice-first solution for frontline workers.

    January 5, 2026

It Started on a Factory Floor

Three years ago, I spent a week shadowing workers at a food processing facility. What I saw changed everything.

Highly skilled operators—people who could diagnose equipment issues by sound alone—were spending hours each day on paperwork. They'd stop their work, remove their gloves, find a pen, fill out forms, and then try to remember where they left off.

    It was absurd.

    The Obvious Question

Why couldn't they just talk? They were already communicating constantly—with each other, with supervisors, about their work. But when it came to documentation, they had to translate their knowledge into forms designed for a different era.

    Early Experiments

Our first prototype was embarrassingly simple: a phone app that recorded voice memos and transcribed them. Workers loved it. They could capture observations in seconds instead of minutes.

But transcription alone wasn't enough. The text was unstructured—useful for review but not for systems that expected data in specific formats.

    The Breakthrough

We realized the AI needed to understand context. When a worker says "Checked line 3, running at 450, temp normal," the system should know:

    - "Line 3" refers to a specific production line

    - "450" is a speed measurement in units per minute

    - "Temp normal" means temperature is within acceptable range

This context-awareness transformed raw voice into structured data.

    Where We Are Today

Cosito now handles thousands of voice logs daily across warehouses, factories, and distribution centers. Workers speak naturally, and their words become data their organizations can act on.

    We're just getting started.

    Our Mission

Every frontline worker deserves tools that respect their expertise. Documentation shouldn't be a burden—it should be invisible.

    That's what we're building.
